Meet the Founder
I'm Janie Merickel, with nearly 20 years of experience training and certifying Search and Rescue Dogs, I founded "Dog" to organize a wealth of expertise and seize the opportunity of Community - creating on online place where all detection handlers can learn - from each other and from the vast amount of science information in the field. Beginning with an avalanche dog in the high mountains of Colorado, I leverage my graduate MBA degree, as well as my professional dog training certifications from Karen Pryor Academy and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. My passion for improving the world of human remains detection dog training drives me forward every day. I am inspired by you. I am inspired by our dogs.
